2011 Oct 05. Part of my reason for coming out west is to finish unfinished business. Today I called the Ministry of Social Services, Post Adoption Registry, regarding finding my son (born out of wedlock) that was put up for adoption back in 1966. I had contacted the services a few years ago and at that time they informed me there was at least a 2 year waiting list. I hadn’t heard from them and when I spoke to them today, they said they wrote me last year and that the letter had been returned. I thought back and yes, I had moved in the past couple of years and any the mail forwarding I took out only lasted three months. Anyway, now I’m back on the short list and should know within a 5 – 6 months if they can find him and if he wants to contact me.
